Out of the Chrysalis

My most recent card began like this. In fact, for a while I thought this was the card - almost complete. I thought "there is one other little thing I need to find that will tell me what the card is really about". The feeling of the card was something along the lines of "The Universe Within".

My search for that one thing more led to something else entirely. I added a series of images of a woman/butterfly unfolding from a chrysalis, and transformed the card into my Desiderata card. Do you know Desiderata? I am a child of the universe, and just as the universe is unfolding as it should, so am I.
As I went to create this post, I noticed a couple of similarities with Ann's card in my previous post. - The cosmic background, and the butterfly motif. Interesting.

  • Beautiful Imelda! I love when the SoulCollage process "has its way with us"...this is a card with deep feeling...and yes!...I remember Desiderata, thank you for the remembrance of that. I find it very liberating...it opens that feeling of Oneness.

    Thank you!

  • I really really like your end product--and I so like seeing the process. So, what do you think the card is saying to you?

  • It's amazing how the card came to life with the addition of the woman/butterfly series. It's wonderful.

  • I love the Desiderata,

Your card really speaks to me too,

I often stand outside with my arms outstretched saying "I am a child of the Universe ..."
